even though i've been busy recently, i found some time to catch a little of the olympics. and even if i hadn't seen anything, it's hard to escape the media frenzy around michael phelps. he's everywhere!
and that's my excuse... he's everywhere! that's why i can't stop looking. yup, that's my excuse. i stare cause he's all over the place, not because i have never. seen. such. an. amazing. body. in. my. entire. life. he's long and lean and sinewy and WOW. and those shoulders!
i know the common opinion is that he's not all that good-looking, but i actually think he's pretty cute. he's no male model, but he's cute. and the rest of him is so hot... that more than makes up for any perceived lack of hotness in his face.
ok. shallow SC is signing off now. i'm sure i've offended or grossed out more than a few of you. sorry! normal SC will return next post. for all you other phelps-lovers out there:

I don't consider his face that attractive but his body is amazing.
Ewwww....
No offense, to each her own, but still...
For some reason, I don't find that THAT attractive... I don't know...Antonio Banderas is HOT.
Ok, now that I feel like I've cheated on my boyfriend, I guess attraction for each of us is a bit different. My guy works out and knows how to get a 6 pack and arms like a body builder, but I'm no less attracted to him when he has a keg and arms smaller than mine... I think he's gorgeous and its all in his smile, and eyes, and chin...I really like his jawline...how odd is that =p
Anyway, just thoughts...To each her own :)
i know, i know... i'm so wierd. there's just something about tall skinny guys with wide shoulders... sigh.... :)
and i know my tastes are screwy... other men i've thought are attractive at various points thru my life: benicio del toro, dolph lundgren, this guy: http://www.atrust.com/images/news/ate5thbday/party14.jpg (though that was a while ago, and when he didn't have a scraggly goatee), and lots of random others.
LOL, I love this post. Girl, I know what you mean. My eyes could follow those curves round n' round for forever!
ROFLMAO!
If it weren't for the Olympic blackout that I am observing on my blog space, I was going to remark that--if Phelps is Christian--he has a perfect opportunity to become Mr. SC.
He's handsome.
Personally, I am more interested in Jason Lezak or Aaron Piersol. :)
But he is taller than you (so are the ones I like). You might want to take up swimming or beach v-ball so you can be someone's 6 ft of Sunshine. :) Great place to meet tall ppl since they do so well. (Of course my fav shortie in the sport was Janet Evans.)
Having been a swimmer in high school, I have always followed swimming at the Olympics even when everyone else thought it was totally boring. Now they are all rock stars when I used to feel like they they were "mine".
yeah, savvy, i swam a bit in HS too, but was more into water polo than swimming. and i know what you mean; it's wierd that they're all stars now.
i've gotten into playing sand vball, too.... if you check back into my old posts, you can read about how at last year's local AVP match, phil dalhausser checked me out :) oh yeah, and i'm going to the matches again this year; they're this weekend :)
Have fun. I will be engaging in indoor sports like singing. ;) (And gaining weight. Blech!)
Phil Dalhausser with the adorable bald head? He is one handsome dude.
i know, isn't he?! and i normally do not like bald guys!
As you get closer to 30, suddenly alot of guys will become attractive that weren't before--and the ones you used to find attractive won't be. It's something about maturity. Bald can be very sexy.
meh...i still don't much care for bald guys. never have, never will. i think dalhausser gets in cause he's so tall, and the whole professional volleyball player thing.
You're in good company. I hear Carrie Underwood has the hots for him too. Apparently they have been texting each other and are planning a quiet first date in Nashville.
But yeah, that body is da' bomb.
I was eight years old when Mark Spitz swam for his seven gold medals. I remember watching him. The entire country was absolutely thrilled with his accomplishment, and his teammates carried him around on their shoulders after he won his seventh gold. I thought he was so very handsome, and I looked up to him for wanting to be a Dentist. The Munich Olympics were the best Olympics I ever watched in my life--and also the saddest and most horrible. Mark Spitz will always be a hero in my heart, and no one can ever replace him. When I watched Phelp's last race, I was cheering for the Japanese, the Australians--anybody but the USA. While part of me realizes that the swimming world has moved on, and 36 years is a long time to hold an Olympic record, and that it was time for a new champion to emerge, I just don't admire Phelps at all.
